behind the artist.

I began painting murals at 15, influenced by Southern California’s vibrant surf, skate, art, and punk scene. Growing up in L.A. during the 80s and 90s, I was deeply shaped by the era’s pop culture and iconic figures. Nostalgia runs deep for me—my father’s Rod Stewart records and my mother’s Brigitte Bardot admiration are part of my roots. I’ve been fortunate to cross paths with influential characters like Jay Adams, Anthony Kiedis, Glen Friedman, and Risk, all of whom have left a mark on my artistic journey.
I enjoy adding a twist to my work, such as blending Duke with SpongeBob to merge disparate worlds into something unique. My art incorporates materials like street signs and license plates, transforming chaos into harmony and sparking reactions in a gallery or on the streets.
I embrace imperfection and funkiness, exploring a range of subjects from the serene calmness of angels and geishas to the raw energy of Sid Vicious and Angry Kate Moss.
I’ve been working with local models and women in Hawaii, infusing my art with a local flair. While enjoying the Kauai waves for the past 30 years, the skate pools, punk shows, and street art of my youth remain a cherished part of my past. I’m grateful for your support and for taking the time to explore my work.
